Brave Motorsports is a rapidly growing off-road performance shop in Houston, TX. With our growth a need has arisen for an experienced technician to join us in being the premier off-road shop in the Houston area. Candidates should have a strong interest in off-road vehicles including experience with mechanical assembly of suspension systems, drivetrain including gear setup, wiring and plumbing.
Candidate must be able to:
- Be a self-starter for the task assigned for the in-and-out work side of the shop consisting of builds lasting 1 day to 2 weeks’ time. This is to include installation of suspension systems, bumpers, winch, lights, etc. as well as drivetrain work including setting up gears, wiring of lights and switches, and some light vehicle plumbing.
- Be flexible to complete all portions of off-road vehicle building:
- This job requires some fabrication abilities to complete tasks. MIG welding experience preferred, but not required.
- Use metal-working tools including MIG welders, grinders, saws, sanders, tap and dies, etc.
- Self-assess work and use good judgment to ensure that a quality product is produced.
- Be reliable and trustworthy, and on time.

8am - 5pm Monday - Friday

Brave is housed in a 5,000 sq. ft. shop in Northwest Houston, TX and outfitted with all the tools and fabrication equipment to make your project a reality. Our company focuses heavily on understanding our customers' needs and intended vehicle use in order to make educated recommendations on parts and products for every project. No matter how small or large the project, we are focused on providing the highest quality service possible.
The shop has several major milestones in our short lifespan, including building multiple solid axle Ultra4 cars for racing in King of the Hammers, and currently working on a class leading IFS Ultra4 car for King of the Hammers. We do everything from trip prep on customers Jeeps to first class builds of Jeeps, race cars and trucks for customers. In the past 2 years our business has tripled in revenue and the growth is only continuing for us. We are looking for ways to continue that upward trajectory and continue the growth while maintaining the impeccable quality we have become known for. The future is very bright for us in the Houston, Texas, and US Markets as a whole.

- Suspension – Suspension lift kits, suspension systems (such as Jeep long arm), rebuildable shocks, etc.
- Plumbing – Brake plumbing, engine plumbing, plumbing of air systems
- Wiring – Wiring of switch systems, lights, winches, etc.
- Drivetrain – Ring and pinion installation and setup, differential locker setup and plumbing, occasional transfer case rebuilding and upgrades
- Other tasks as required

Experience:
- General automotive knowledge: 2 years (required)
- Off Road Vehicle knowledge: 1 year (required)
- MIG Welding experience: 1 year (preferred)
Other requirements:
- Technician should supply their own basic hand tools
